John E. Parsons, 64, of Plantation, FL passed away unexpectedly, December 13, 2015.
John was born on September 29, 1951 in Covington, KY and was raised in New Richmond, OH and Norwood, OH. He attended the Ohio State University where he earned a Bachelor's in Education and Masters in English. He moved to Florida in 1982 where began working as Spanish teacher at South Plantation High School and currently had for over 33 years. He enjoyed listening to classic rock music, was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan, and loved cooking his world-famous enchiladas.
He is survived by his son, Errol Parsons; his companion and her daughter Elvira Abella and Heidy Fernandez; his brothers Randall (Becky) Parsons and Dean (Shawn) Parsons; and his mother Betty Parsons. He was preceded by his father Brooks Parsons.
Visitation will be held 11:30 a.m. Until Service Time in the Pyramid Chapel, Saturday, December 19 at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home and the service will be held at 1:30 p.m. The interment will be private for the family only.
