Brandon Keith Whiting

He was born on March 27th, 1979 in Crookston, MN to Greg and Betty, missing his dad’s birthday by a day, landing on his mom’s, giving them both the best gift possible. After growing up in Minnesota and graduating from Crookston High School, Brandon moved to Ft. Walton Beach, Florida. Eventually, he made Orlando his home, working as a dolphin trainer at Sea World’s Discovery Cove for 17 years. In 2020, Brandon and his partner Andrew purchased a home and moved to Ft. Lauderdale together.

Brandon was full of love, kindness and had the biggest heart. He was loved by all who knew him - making friends everywhere he went and making a difference in so many lives. He lit up any room he entered. He is remembered for his compassionate and supportive soul, as well as for his contagious energy and unforgettable personality. Brandon will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his partner Andrew Smith, father Greg Whiting, and siblings; Jeremy Chandler, Nichelle (Jeff) Kluver, Travis Rasmussen, Dereck (Becky) Rasmussen, Alyssa Whiting, Justin (Kelly) Chandler, and Ashley (Ginelle) Whiting. He is preceded in death by his mother Betty and baby brother Michael.

A service will be held in Florida at Beth’s Burger Bar located at 9938 Universal Blvd #120, Orlando, FL 32819 on Saturday, December 3rd at 2pm.

A service will be held in Minnesota at Lind Family Funeral Home at 1623 10th Ave. E., Alexandria, MN 56308 on Wednesday, December 7th at 2pm.
