Bobby fell asleep in death on November 22, 2023.
Bobby graduated from Carver High School in 1957. He attended Alabama State University. He was an
all-around guy who loved sports, enjoyed swimming, playing basketball, football and running track.
Bobby retired after 30 years of service from Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, Ohio.
He moved to Akron, Ohio and met a beautiful young lady by the name of Ruth Leonard. They were married October 14, 1961. From this union, they were blessed with two beautiful daughters: Linda and Susan.
Bobby was a member of the Akron Central Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses for many years. He was baptized February 23, 1960. He was a faithful servant of Jehovah until his death. Bobby loved to talk about the Good News of God's Kingdom to his family and all who would listen to him.
He enjoyed fishing, playing cards, traveling, and watching old western movies, such as The Big Country.
He also enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with his beloved family and friends.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth of 62 years, his grandson, Derrick Foster, Brothers; Cecil, James, O'Neal, and Joe. He leaves to cherish his many memories daughters; Linda (Robin) Foster and Susan (James) Horton, grandchildren: Sheena Foster-Smith, Jennifer Foster and Terry Foster Jr. Four great-grandsons: Caden Smith, Dae' Lynn, Jayden, and Ra'mel Foster, and one loving brother; Murdies Thomas. He also leaves to cherish, four loving sisters-in-law, Mary Goodlet, Mable Underwood, Betty (Chuck) Williams, and Beulah Thomas.
* A Heartfelt Message from daughter Susan: My dad will always be dear to my heart. If it wasn't for him and my mom, I wouldn't have the great life that I was afforded. I will always love him and my mom from the bottom of my heart. I truly miss him and love him so much.
