He was born on July 24, 1943 in Quebec City. His father was in the Air Force and his family moved frequently, spending time all over Canada and overseas. His favourite childhood memories revolved around his time spent with his Grandmother in Beamsville, Ontario on the family farm. He loved his time there and would often talk about picking peaches in the orchards. He was united in marriage to Jean Edith Steeves in 1965 and went to university in Ottawa to become a teacher. In 1976 he was ordained into the ministry of the United Pentecostal Church. He pastored his first church in Beaverton Ontario, and later moved to Picton Ontario to teach in a Bible College. Their travels brought them to Fort Frances in 1982 where they settled for good. He taught French in several schools for many years as well as Pastored. He enjoyed reading, taking correspondence courses, preaching and wrote curriculum for the United Pentecostal Church. He was passionate about Boy Scouts and was a Boy Scout leader when his boys were young for several years.
