David Harold Christiansen

Dave was born on June 1, 1960 to Harco and Gurlie Christiansen. He lived in Fort Frances all his life and worked in the local paper mill for many years. Family was very important to Dave and he loved to spend time with his Janet and their children. They loved to be at the cabin, fishing, boating and puttering. While the loss of Janet in 2008 was something he never truly recovered from but he found happiness in his trips to Mexico, by being Papa Pete to his grandchildren and doting on his dogs.

He leaves behind his son Tyler (Andrea) and their children Paislee, Kale, Ciera, Caylie and Colten; stepchildren Carolyn O’Brien and her son Cameron, Meghan O’Brien (Tyson) and her children Cassidy, Brooke, Jesse and Gage; David Ellis and Robert Ellis and his daughter Elizabeth; sister Ellen McKinnon; nephew Mike (Joanne) McKinnon and their children Joelle and Gage.

Dave was predeceased by his parents Harold (Harco) and Gurlie Christiansen and niece Kristen McKinnon.

Cremation has taken place and due to Covid-19 restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
