Billy, with his unforgettable smile, sparkling green eyes, and infectious laugh could light the darkest of rooms. He spend his life defying expectations and paving his own hilarious and unique path. He loved animals, camping trips, fishing, family gatherings, preparing food for loved ones, helping his Mom do anything and everything, and was fond of making those around him laugh until they literally cried. He was loyal, spunky, kind, full of love, easy-going, truly delightful, fun-loving human being.
A battle of depression robbed his ability to see how desperately loved and valued he was. The desperation, pain and despair he must of endured, feeling this was his only way to find peace, has left us all utterly breathless.
Billy had so much goodness, so much capacity to bring joy and happiness to others, and such a bright future. The world is such a lesser place with out him. He will forever be loved, cherished and missed.
Please, help us break the destructive silence and stigma surrounding mental illness and suicide, “the silent epidemic”
“Being open about mental illness helps normalize it, encouraging others to feel more comfortable speaking about it — and hopefully getting help”
