Jeffrey and I worked together at Mfp for over ten years he was a sweet caring guy if I needed someone to talk to about my problems he would listen and help me out he was the same way with me. I love you buddy and i miss you so much. RIP my friend.

I will miss Jeff's lively discussions we've been having this past year.  His heart was always in the right place.  He was worried about the "little" guy.  He wanted them to get help from their leaders.  We agreed on most things, but we had some heated disagreements.  We always knew that in the end, we were family, and that came first.  I loved his weather reports and pictures of his cat.  We don't see our cousins enough as life gets more complicated.  Maybe he has taught us a lesson we needed to learn.  Life is short, treasure each other, and make time to see each other. May Jeffrey be enjoying the company of his parents, and the rest of the Pell clan.  He has left us far too soon.

I grew up in South Oak Park with Jeff. I left ascension school to go to Irving and started hanging around with Jeff more and more seeing him in the neighborhood often at Barrie park or the Food Shop. I remember we made a lot of noise at his house his mom was really cool and when his dad was around you just kinda behaved better like at most people’s houses. We would play albums and hang out for hours then all walk to the food shop and see Mrs. Bogen get some Dr. Peppers and Cheese Popcorn then walk the alleys throw some rocks, sift through people’s garbage cans to see who could find the coolest stuff, mess with dogs in their yards by running sticks on the fences and all kinds of things kids did to pass the time in south OP. I always liked Jeff he was just a good guy. We built a “club” under Steve McGoverns back porch one summer and would play The Who, Zeppelin, Jethro Tull, Nugent, Rolling Stones, Beatles you name it. We’d find some grimey carpet someone was throwing out in the garbage and haul it back to the “club” and run it all the way up the walls to the ceiling. So many great great memories. Looking back I wouldn’t trade the times we had back then with Jeff and everybody else for anything in the world. Jeff had a cool edge to him that made you feel cool hanging out with him. Great humor and really fun.  I always liked that he had older brothers but never used that because he held his own ground. I know he went through some tough times and hard lessons so did I but the real character and strength of him was proven by his better decisions and trust in new actions which really brought different results for him that I think he liked. Funny how everyone else benefited from his hard work. I like that no matter what happens a person is never judged for only one Day in their life. You get to have a quilt of all their patches to keep. Jeff gave me a lot of patches (in fact one was under my left eye but that’s a whole nuther story). I’ll always be grateful for Jeff. 

Jeff was one of the first people I met at the Brown and Dixon meeting in 2010! I grew to get to know Jeff through our respective sobriety, and he helped me beyond words! My Mike and I were  friends with both Jeff and Haddassah, and we were honored to bring in the New Year with them at Papaspiros a few years ago, Haddassah brought some sparkling juice for our table for the midnight toast! He was a great guy! He was a champion in the rooms and outside of the rooms! We got to know Jeff after meetings at Mother's Day and heard stories about Alex and all of his siblings! He was so proud of you all and wanted to share his fondness and love for you with all of us! He will be dearly missed! I will always remember him quietly chuckling in his Hawks Jersey! True salt of the earth! R.I.P. Jeff you helped so many! You are worthy of all good memories and so much love! Mollie
