Nora was a beloved mother, and grandmother. Most of her career as a schoolteacher, a calling she cherished, was here in New York City, mainly in East New York and later in Forest Hills. As a teacher and tutor, she positively impacted the lives of hundreds of children. Nora was an avid traveler, visiting countries across the globe. She loved theater and art, particularly French impressionism. A friend remarked, "Going to a museum with Nora was like having a private docent."
Nora is survived by her sons Ronald and Garrett, and granddaughters Aubrey and Devon.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
A graveside service for Nora will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Cedar Park Cemetery, 735 Forest Avenue, Paramus, NJ 07652.
