Lin Ton Chin

Lin Ton Chin, also known as Alvaro by many, passed away on October 7, 2023 at his home.

He was born in Canton, China on April 17, 1930. At a very young age, he went to Barranquilla, Colombia where he worked in agriculture, then opened a supermarket with a few friends called Fortuna until eventually started a restaurant - El Gran Chef. He married Anna Wu in 1969 and they had a son, Alvaro. In his later years he retired in New York to be with his son

El nacio en Canton, China en Abril 17, 1930. De una edad joven, el fue para Barranquilla, Colombia donde trabajo en agricultura, despues abrio un supermercado con varios amigos llamado Fortuna hasta que eventualmente comenzo un restaurante - El Gran Chef. El servicio del funerario sera en Forest Park Funeral Home, 114-03 Queens Boulevard, Forest Hills, NY 11375 el Viernes, Octubre 13, 2023, a las 4 pm.
