Daniel Ben-Joseph, son of Menachem Yehudah and Leah-Aliza Joseph (Mutzeri) sadly passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 2:57pm, in Kindred Hospital, Hollywood, Florida. Danny, or Aba, or Saba Danny, as he was known, was born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1941, and was of Syrian and Yemeni descent. He proudly served in the Israel Defense Forces and worked as a Radio Officer, on a commercial cruise liner, called the “Palmach”, traveling the entire world. Danny lived in Tel Aviv and then came to the United States in 1973. Danny had several careers; he was an electrician, a taxi cab driver, a gas station attendant, an ice cream store owner and a contractor (he really could renovate just about anything and loved his tools). He lived the American Dream. Danny loved every day of his life; he always ate delicious food and made everyone smile and laugh. He always encouraged everyone around him to just “Go for it!”; but never stress, and always “Take it easy.” He loved his children with all his heart and soul and was so proud of them. Danny was a simple and humble man and loved the beach, the pool, and going to both Costco and Home Depot, as well as the “toy store,” meaning any store that sold tools (tools were his toys). He loved all James Bond movies, John Candy movies, and especially, “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly”. He loved ABBA, Blondie, and Marilyn Monroe too. He is survived by his three children, Robin, Galit and Jonathan Judah, and grandchildren: Rachel Ana, Joshua Alexander, Jacob Daniel, Julianna Carolyn, and Dahlia Beth, as well as his brothers, sister, and countless cousins, nieces and nephews. Danny was taken too soon, but we know he is watching us from above and smiling upon us. Please do an extra act of kindness in memory of Danny, and definitely eat a falafel and a mango too. We miss you Danny / Aba / Saba so much.
