I never knew this man ,I just came across his obituary when I was searching for someone else on the internet.He obviously led a full and wholesome life and was a devoted family man.God bless him on his eternal journey and my condolences to his beloved family .

My cousin Pat O'Grady never failed to bring love and joy to any occasion. I always admired Pat and looked forward to seeing him at family gatherings-we greeted each other as if no time lapsed since we last met. One of Pat's great gifts was that he always saw good in everyone.  I am grateful that I was blessed with a cousin who shared God's love so freely with all whom he met during his life. Pat's death took part of my heart with him. Pat, may you rest in the abundance of the God's Presence.

For over 45 years I've had the great privilege of knowing Pat O'Grady. He was truly a great man. A unique and gentle soul, always  welcoming with a  warm smile and amusing sense of humor. We shared countless stories and endless laughs over the years. I have many wonderful memories of our chats at the NYAC. We were close friends. He would tell me about his family and was so proud of the children he and Kathleen had raised. In later years he'd entertain me with cute anecdotes of his grandchildren. I never saw him grumpy or in a bad mood. Ever. In fact his cheerful demeanor would always brighten my day.  Once he even saved me from the wrath of Conor McGregor and his entourage who were toweling off in the locker room when I greeted them with a phrase in gaelic that turned out to have an unpleasant meaning.  
Pat your legacy lives on through your family and the many lives you have touched.
Rest in Peace, my dear friend.

Patrick was my first cousin and when we lived in New York I had many happy times in the company of Patrick and his family.
He loved coming home to Ireland and meeting and enjoying his family and many friends
