Mohan was born in Mumbai, India. He was described as a precocious child; the youngest of three. He was a gifted student and had a natural talent for numbers. He met our mother, Manasi, in the 5th grade. Their love story is one for the ages. In that time, a love marriage was forbidden. Our parents, determined to never be apart, fought against tradition, society and their families to be together. They married and came to the US to start their lives.
Our father loved one thing above all else; his family. He worked tirelessly to ensure that his wife and children had all they needed and wanted. He had an unbreakable work ethic and could never sit idle. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke he exuded warmth and charm.
He had a generous spirit and never hesitated to provide whatever was needed for his family’s comfort.
If our mother is the artist, my father was her easel. She is the rose and he was the trellis. He was the backbone that supported her dreams and brought them to fruition.
Our father was taken too soon, but he is at peace. Mohan is survived by his devoted wife Manasi, his son Sameer, his daughter Shweta and her husband Greg.
