Maria Makris, age 85, of Flushing, New York passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022. Dearest daughter of the late Fr. Kirk Xenakis and Lefkothea Xenakis. Beloved wife of the late John A. Makris. Loving mother of Alexander and Kelly. Cherished grandmother of Phillip ( Mikako) Fleming and great grandmother of Zion Fleming.
Reposing at the Frederick Funeral Home 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358 on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral liturgy will occur Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas G.O. Church, 196-10 Northern Blvd, Flushing, NY 11358. Interment Thursday, December 8, 2022 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at Flushing Cemetery, 163-06 46th Avenue, Flushing, NY 11358.
