Josephine "Josie" Vaccaro

Josie died at the age of 82 on October 26, 2014 after a long bout with cancer. Josie retired from Queens General Hospital in New York after many years, eventually moving to Florida at the Bluffs in Jupiter. She volunteered to work at Jupiter Medical Center for years. Josie was also a volunteer at the Maltz Theatre. She was active at St. Patrick Church making shawls for victims of cancer.

Josie leaves behind her husband of almost 60 years, Neal, and 2 sons Neal A. and Michael; 6 grandchildren Jason, Geisha, Joanna, Erica, Amanda, and last but not least Anniela. Also survived by her brother, Emanuel, and in laws Steve, Michael, and Debra.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 29th from 3-8 PM, Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, October 30th at 10 am, St. Patrick Catholic Church, 13591 Prosperity Farms Road, Palm Beach Gardens, FL. Burial will be held on Monday at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Flushing, NY.
