Dimitrios Motsios, a pillar of his family and community, passed away on April 20, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion. He was the beloved husband of Helen Motsios, with whom he shared a lifetime of cherished memories. As a loving father, Dimitrios leaves behind his children, Georgia (Ari) Kapoutsos and Andrew Motsios, who were the pride of his life.
Dimitrios took immense joy in his role as a pappou to Jake Kapoutsos and Alexis Kapoutsos, showering them with affection and wisdom. His guidance and unwavering support enriched their lives immeasurably.
Born in Greece, Dimitrios brought with him the warmth and strength of his homeland, infusing every aspect of his life with a deep sense of tradition and family values. He was a devoted brother to Irene Tsitsipatis and Eleni Triantafilidis, always there to lend a helping hand and share in both joys and sorrows.
Dimitrios was a proud member of the Greek Organization, where his passion for his heritage and culture found expression in meaningful community contributions. His generosity and kindness touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Dimitrios's life at the Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Blvd., Flushing, New York 11358, on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. A Funeral Liturgy will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at St. Demetrios GO Church, 2421 Hewlett Avenue, Merrick, New York 11566, followed by interment at Greenfield Cemetery, 650 Nassau Road, Uniondale, New York 11553.
