MESSLER, Rosemary – age 80 left her earthly confines on Sunday, August 27, 2017. She will join the love of her life James, and together they will begin the next phase of their journey. Visitation will be at Reigle Funeral Home – 5501 W. Pierson Rd Flushing, MI on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 2PM-4PM and 6PM-7PM. A scripture service will be held at 7PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Robert Catholic Church – 310 N. Cherry St. Flushing, MI on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 2PM with one hour of visitation prior to the service. Father Gordon Reigle celebrant. Interment to follow at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Rosemary was born in Flint, MI on July 2, 1937, to Anthony and Veronica (Gatschene) Neumann. She was the younger of their two children and is survived by her brother Robert Neumann. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic school and married James Messler on February 12, 1955. Together they raised eight children, all of whom survive her. Rosemary was a loving and devoted mother who often said her children were her and James’ greatest accomplishments. She was proud to be a grandmother to 19, great-grandmother to 25, and recently became a great-great grandmother. Rosemary is survived by her children, Karen (Joe) Lorenc, Mark (Lynne) Messler, Catherine Eavy, Christopher (Beth) Messler, Michael (Wendy) Messler, Scott Messler, Suzanne (Keith) Lanctot, and Timothy (Dawn) Messler, as well as many special family and friends who will miss her greatly.
