Karen L. Scott, age 57, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Karen was born on August 11, 1958 in Flint to parents Bob and Shirley (Danes) Scott. She enjoyed the warm weather and spending time at the beach. Karen had the most generous soul of anyone her family knew. She loved her family, and especially adored her son. Karen will be lovingly remembered by her mother, Shirley Scott; son, George Beattie (girlfriend, Morgan); granddaughter, Jade; siblings: Gary Scott, Kevin Scott, Wendy Panks, Michael (Tina) Danes, and David (Cathy) Danes; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father, Bob Scott; brother, Gerald Danes. A memorial service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at Reigle Funeral Home (5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing). The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, beginning at 12pm.
