Arlene Ewing, age 85, passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017. She was born on April 28, 1931 in Flint to parents John and Anna Arlene (Williams) Dickenson. Arlene was a faithful member of Flushing Presbyterian Church and the Ladies Auxiliary – Flint Male Chorus. She worked at Mclaren Hospital for several years before retiring. Arlene spent many summers in De Tour Village in the Upper Peninsula with her husband Jack. Arlene is survived by her children: Dianne (Mike) Cole, David (Dianne) Ewing, Dawn (Chris) Bitterman; grandchildren: Rebecca (Brett) Francek, Robyn (Bob) Gorham, Lindsay (Jon) Lences, Ashleigh Ewing, Shona Ewing, Catriona Ewing, Chloe Ewing, Noah Ewing, Diana Ewing, Jackson Bitterman, and Jon Bitterman; three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Jack Ewing; brothers: Ronald Dickenson and Richard Dickenson. A funeral service will take place at 11am on Friday, February 24, 2017 at Flushing Presbyterian Church, 5010 N. McKinley Rd., Flushing, with Pastor Teresa Peterson officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 23, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Reigle Funeral Home, 5501 W. Pierson Rd., Flushing. Interment at Flint Memorial Park. Those desiring may make a memorial contribution to Flushing Presbyterian Church or the Flint Male Chorus in Arlene’s name.
