Carol W. Elliott transition into eternity on February 16, 2024. She was 89 and a resident of Flagler Beach since 1978 living in a home that her husband built. Carol was born in Pennsylvania, worked in Washington DC for 20 years before marrying John M. Elliott in 1977. She started her career as a secretary, moving to administrative assistant to the president and was editor of the monthly newsletter for the membership of the Amalgamated Transit Union. Carol was an avid traveler and a patron of the theater and loved to read. She joined the National Daughters of the American Revolution and established a line for Michael Wolfgang who arrived in Pennsylvania in 1743 and whose son served in the Revolutionary War. Carol enjoyed volunteering with the Methodist Church Women’s groups in Bethesda, MD and Flagler Beach. She served in many offices for the Flagler Beach United Methodist Church, prepared 3 history books for the church. She worked on the newsletters for the Flagler Beach City Library and the Flagler Beach Auditorium Governing Board while serving the on the board. She is survived by her sister Dharlys Fleharty, plus numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
