June Marie (Humphrey) Hornsby

HILLTOP – June Marie Hornsby, 65, of Hilltop, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home on Tuesday, January 30, 2019.

She was the daughter of the late Noble Lee and Mary Anna Smith Humphrey.

Mrs. Hornsby was a loving and wonderful mother. She loved playing bingo and crafting.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Gary Wayne Hornsby; daughter, Jill Marie Hornsby; and sister: Betty Nugen.

Survivors include her children: William Hornsby and wife, Paula, Melissa Furrow and her husband, Robert, and Terry Hornsby; grandchildren: Jillian and Trey Furrow, and Katelynn Hornsby; sisters: Dolores Humphrey, Angel and Clarence Minks, Nellie Davis, Virginia and Preston Ayers; and Mary Mayor; brothers: Noble and Beth Humphrey, Thurmond and Linda Humphrey, Roger and Sherry Humphrey, Larry and Debbie Humphrey, Clifford Humphrey, and Allen and Telina Humphrey.

Funeral services will be 2 PM on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Burial will follow at the Cunard Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 PM to 2 PM at the funeral home on Tuesday.
