Doris Ann Richards

Born on May 7, 1949, in Oak Hill, West Virginia, Doris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother as well as a member of the Oak Hill Church of Christ.

Whether it was making beautiful quilts, tending to her garden, or baking tons of delicious food, she always kept herself busy and poured love into everything she did.

She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents; brother, Duke; her sister-in-law, Janet; brother-in-law, Fred; and grandson, Anthony.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband, Larry; 6 children, Hanna, Brenda, Allen, Melissa, Sidney, and Michael; 2 stepchildren, Ada, and Jeremy; 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and her sister-in-law and best friend, Kay.

Services to celebrate the life of Doris will be held at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home, Fayetteville, WV on Friday, October 25, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects one hour prior to services. Flowers may be sent to the funeral home.
