Charles Richard Linkous

Born in Shrewsbury, WV, he was the son of the late Charles B. and Clarice Bradshaw Linkous, and brother of the late Tommy Linkous.

Mr. Linkous was a graduate of Cedar Grove High School and Marshall University where he received his teaching degree. He taught at Fayetteville High School, his life’s work for more than 35 years. While there, he was the coach of a variety of sports including track, football, basketball, and baseball.

In his spare time, he installed swimming pools for others to enjoy.

Mr. Linkous leaves behind his loving wife, Rebecca J. Escue Linkous; son, Michael Paul Linkous; daughter, Angela Linkous; grandson, Anthony Michael Linkous; and brother, Mark Linkous.

Services to celebrate the life of Charles Richard Linkous will be 1:00P.M. Friday, December 20, 2024 at Dodd-Payne-Hess Funeral Home 350 West Maple Avenue Fayetteville WV. Visitation will be two hours prior to services. He will be laid to rest in Huse Memorial Park, Fayetteville, WV.
