William Bernard Eck

William Bernard Eck, 65, died unexpectedly of natural causes at his home on Wednesday, October 26, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Maria Eck; loving father of William Alexander (Harriet) and Victoria (Patrick); cherished grandfather of Jack and Alex; dear uncle of 21. Bill was raised in the suburbs of Chicago by Janice and Bernard Eck with his siblings Robert (Kim) Eck, John (Kim) Eck, James (Missy) Eck, and Julie Anne (Scott) Thick. The family shared a tight bond and provided one another with joy, laughter, and love. After meeting his soulmate Maria in Miami, Florida, Bill worked ceaselessly to provide their family comfort and security. He exuberated an intellectual curiosity, a constant desire to learn, to grow, and to better himself. He had attained a state of peace before being tragically taken from his family. Bill was a kind, gentle soul, that made all around him feel valued and heard. He loved traveling, boating, listening to music and spending time with his family. Bill will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of spending their time with him.
