Peggy Alexander Cook

Of Mclean, Virginia on Wednesday, November 12, 2014. Born November 16, 1931 in Americus, Georgia to Charles and Johnnie (Roberts) Alexander. Beloved wife of the late Paul A. “Tony” Cook. Loving mother of Cheryl (Christopher) Dreslin; Cynthia (Stephen) Dreslin; Tina (Mark) Mullins; Daniel (Jennifer) Cook; Mary “Pepper” (the late Thomas) Leich; and Kimberly (Mark) Ambler.

She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren Angela (Jonathan) Becker; John Dreslin; Sean and Kevin Dreslin; Shannon and Michelle Mullins; Joseph and Mathew Cook; Emily, Hannah, Charlie and Gretchen Leich; Anthony, Lily and Noah Ambler and great granddaughter Jemma Lowery.

She is also survived by her brother (Jerald) “Jerry’ (Onie) Alexander as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded by her sisters Joan (Joseph Daniel) Jones and Margaret (Henry) Harris.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, November 17th at Columbia Baptist Church, 103 West Columbia Street, Falls Church, Virginia. Visitation will be held at Murphy’s Funeral Home in Falls Church on Sunday, November 16th from 3-7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Spend Yourself Food Pantry in care of Columbia Baptist Church or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, 322 Eight Avenue, 7th floor, New York, New York, 10001.

Interment will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
