On Friday, August 2, 2013 Minnie D. Bennett passed away suddenly in Falls Church, Virginia. Loving sister of Jesse H. Bennett of Dayton, OH and Valora B. Cook of Washington, DC. Also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family. She was locally cared for by nephews John and Phillip Ayers; niece Valora D. Thompson; great-niece Brittany Thompson; great-nephews Andrew, Anthony, and Tyrone Thompson; and God-niece Alica Dawson. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 10 between 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service in the chapel at the Murphy Funeral Home, 1102 W Broad Street, Falls Church, VA.
