Mary Ann Denise Adcock, 79, of Annandale, VA, passed away October 28, 2020 in the comfort of her home after a brave battle with cancer.
Mary Ann was born in Washington, DC to Charles and Frances Sauber on August 21, 1941. She grew up in Arlington, VA and married Alton Adcock on February 16, 1960 in Washington, DC.
She worked for Arlington County Public Schools as a secretary at Key Elementary for 42 years. She retired on July 1, 2020.
Mary Ann is preceded in death by her parents.
Mary Ann is survived by her husband of 60 years, Alton Adcock; children, Tammy Climer (Mark), Denise Oaks, Charles Adcock (Sophia), Christopher Adcock (Ted); sisters, Jo Ann Donnelly and Carolyn Huffer; grandchildren, Nicole Quinn, Hailey Oaks, Tessa Gordon, Noah Climer, Lilian Adcock, Amelia Adcock, Gunnar Adcock; great-grandchild Hunter Quinn; and best friend, Holly Rodriguez.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2020 from 11:00am – 2:30pm at National Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway, Falls Church, VA 22042. A private burial will follow.
