Lisa A. Baltz

Lisa was born February 9, 1966, in Sharon ,PA. She was the daughter of the late Peter R. and Regina(Krent)Babnis. She was a 1984 graduate of Kennedy Christian(Catholic) HS and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Daemen College in Amherst, NY.

Lisa married Dave Baltz on June 15, 1996 in Falls Church, Va. They vacationed often in St. Martin where they had a time share. Lisa loved the island life! It was her “Happy Place”. Lisa and Dave were happily married for 20 beautiful years. Suddenly and sadly, Lisa became a widow when Dave passed away December 3, 2016.

Lisa was employed by Commonwealth Orthopedics in June of 2007 and maintained her tenure when they merged with Ortho Virginia a few years ago. She was a contract compliance analyst. It was a tedious and challenging position but Lisa thrived in her role and was an exceptional employee. She fostered many special friendships with her co-workers

.

Outside of work Lisa had a strong circle of friends from childhood who she shared a unique everlasting bond. Lisa was a kind, caring friend who loved to laugh, and have a good time. She felt so blessed to have the love and support of these friends.

Lisa loved sports and played basketball throughout her high school years where she dominated the court. She was a member of the family fantasy football league where she named her team the “Baltz’s Donkeys”. It was a nick name her and Dave had for their favorite NFL team. The Denver Bronco’s.

The greatest love of all was Lisa’s love of her family. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt. She was there for her nieces and nephews from birth to adulthood and shared some special highlighted moments with each and every one of them. She cared for her father in her home the last few years of his life, a tribute to her unselfish, compassionate soul. She taught her nieces the skills to make the best pierogi ever. A Polish family tradition that will live on for generations to come. Her great niece Ella was there this year and that made Lisa smile.

Lisa is a strong woman of faith and her inner strength and courage far exceeds many. Over the past four years Lisa has strengthened that faith by attending service at the Centreville Presbyterian Church. She was welcomed into their family with love.

Surviving are: three sisters, Bonnie A Kinch and her husband Bill, of Elizabethville, PA, Linda L Babnis, of Franklin Lakes N.J., Mary Lou Sanata and her husband Chuck, of Falls Church, Va.: a brother, Peter J. Babnis and his wife Sheila, of St. George, Utah; mother in law, Grace Baltz of Denver, CO, two brother in law;, John Baltz and his wife Debbie, of Alamo, CA, Bob Baltz and his wife Kathy, of Denver, CO. Three nieces; Stephanie Sanata, Michelle Wilbern, Lauren Sulser. Seven nephews; Ryan Kinch, Aaron Kinch, Chad Kinch, Peter Babnis, Matthew Babnis, John Baltz, Michael Baltz. One great niece; Ella Wilbern,

Besides her parents and husband, Lisa was preceded in death by her father in law, John Baltz and her brother in law Charles Nemetz.

A memorial service will be held at Murphy’s Funeral Home in Falls Church, VA. Wednesday January 6, 2021 at 1:00pm. Officiated by Reverend J. Robin Bromhead

Attendees will be limited to immediate family and invited guests.
