Jacob Black was born in Boston, MA to Reuben and Anna Black on February 4, 1931. He served as a communication specialist in the Army during the Korean War. After discharge from the Army he graduated from the University of Miami. After college he worked as a civilian electrical engineer for the Department of the Navy for 49 years.
Jacob enjoyed visiting his sister’s family in Miami each year. He also enjoyed taking pictures as well as fixing broken items thrown away by others. He was generally quiet and reserved.
Jacob is preceded in death by his sister, Norma Belsky.
Jacob is survived by his nephews, Charles Belsky and Arthur Belsky, as well as his “favorite” niece, Celia Belsky.
The family of Jacob Black wishes to extend our sincere thanks to the staff of Beverly Assisted Living who made his final years peaceful and enjoyable.
Funeral services will be held at the graveside. Burial will follow at Quantico National Cemetery. Arrangements are by National Funeral Home.
