Althea was born in Saco, Maine to Carlton and Marion Hutchins on November 4, 1936. She went to school at Biddeford High School. She married Rolland F. Gagnon on August 4, 1961 in Saco, Maine.
She worked as a transcript certifier for Georgetown University for 22 years where she received a retirement award.
Althea is preceded in death by her parents Carlton and Marion Hutchins; Her brother, Alvin Hutchins; Her In-laws, Ralph and Dora Gagnon; and her sister in-law, Loretta Wilson.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 60 years, Rolland Gagnon; her children, Brian and Rosinda Gagnon; her grandchildren, Jasmin Gagnon and Janett Portillo; and great-grandchildren Jason Gagnon and Jonathan Portillo.
A Graveside Service will be held on February 14, 2021 at National Memorial Park with Pastor Jack Van Dyk of Christian Cantor, officiating.
