Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late J. Wesley and Claire (Sullivan) Hutchinson, she was a lifelong resident of the city and a 1962 graduate of BMC Durfee High School. In addition to being a homemaker, Mrs. Karam was a longtime volunteer at Charlton Memorial Hospital. An outstanding wife and mother, she loved all music-especially Bob Seger-playing cards and mahjong and was known for organizing her neighborhood friends and family to celebrate the good times in life! An animal lover, she was a patron of Forever Paws.
Surviving in addition to her husband: son: Stephen R. Karam and his wife Francesca, daughter: Melissa K. Panchley and her husband Joshua, grandchildren: Julia, Justin, John, Thomas and Christopher all of Fall River and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her beloved sister Dale A. Callahan.
Her funeral will be held Monday, April 23, 2012 at 10AM in St. Anthony of the Desert Church, 300 North Eastern Avenue, Fall River. Visiting hours Sunday 4-8 PM in the WARING-SULLIVAN HOME OF MEMORIAL TRIBUTE at CHERRY PLACE, 178 Winter Street, Fall River.
