A graduate of B.M.C. Durfee High School, he was a fan of the Pawtucket Red Sox, a member of ARC, he participated in the Special Olympics for many years and enjoyed bowling, wrestling, music and dancing.
He is survived by one sister, Sandra A. Silvia of New Bedford; one sister-in-law, Molly Carey of Dartmouth; two nephews, William R. Silvia and his wife Deborah of Braintree and Christopher P. Silvia and his wife Renata of Dartmouth; many cousins and great nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ralph H., Gregory S. and Jeffrey A. Silvia.
His funeral service will be held Monday, November 7, 2016 at 9:00 AM from the Waring-Sullivan Home of Memorial Tribute at Cherry Place, 178 Winter St., Fall River with a funeral mass at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph’s Church, 1335 N.
