Joseph D. Desrosiers Jr.

Born in Fall River, a son of Joseph R. Desrosiers, Sr. and Geraldine (Bettencourt) Desrosiers he was a longtime resident of New Bedford.

A graduate of Bristol County Agricultural School in Dighton he also attended classes at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. A skilled landscaper he worked for over 25 years until his retirement in 2014. A New England sports enthusiast he enjoyed watching the Red Sox and especially the Patriots games. A true chatterbox, he talked a blue streak making people laugh and was a devoted family man.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the nurses and staff at the Savoy Nursing Home for their dedication and compassionate care they gave Joe over the years.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one sister, Pamela Barcellos of Fall River; two brothers, Edmond Leduc of Fall River and Frederick Desrosiers of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Diane Leduc, Bruce Leduc and Everett Desrosiers.
