Sabina "Minnie" Hernandez Salinas

Sabina "Minnie" Salinas, 88, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday morning, April 3, 2013 where she was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by God and is now resting from her labor in His presence. Minnie was born on December 30, 1924 in a ranch outside of Hebbronville, Texas near Bruni, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Juan D. Hernandez and Dolores Espino Hernandez; husband, Federico T. Salinas; sons, Adelmo F. Salinas and Federico C. "Kike" Salinas; brother, Jose Hernandez and sister, Tomasa H. Barrera. She was a loving wife and thoroughly enjoyed raising her five children. She imparted her love of God and church to her family. She was a faithful member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias, Texas. Minnie leaves, to cherish her wonderfully loving and fond memories, her son, Xavier Salinas of Apple Valley, CA; daughters, Yolanda Gamez and Juanita (Bobby) Grimes both of Kingsville, Texas; sister, Mary Chavez of Falfurrias, Texas, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be: Rudy Gamez, Fred Salinas, Lathan Bryant, Sam Perez, Charlie Chavez and Jesse Lopez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be: Steven Grimes, Jonas Lopez, Nathan Gamez and Xavier Garcia.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Burial will follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Falfurrias.
