Raul Romeo Villarreal Sr.

Raul Romeo Villarreal, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at a hospital in McAllen, Texas at the age of 84. He was born on July 7, 1937 to Enrique Villarreal, Sr. and Marta Perez Villarreal in Encino, Texas. He was a proud Army Veteran and worked for several years as a Pipefitter in the construction industry. He was a true outdoorsman who loved working on the farm and ranch. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and tending to his cows. Family time was very important to him and he adored his grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Eutiquio, Humberto, Homero and Roel Villarreal.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Imelda R. Villarreal of Encino, Texas; sons; Raul R. Villarreal, Jr. of McAllen, Miguel A. (Sylvia) Villarreal of Falfurrias, Texas, Jerardo A. Villarreal of McAllen and Carlos T. Villarreal of McAllen; daughter; Melissa V. (Carlos) Garcia of McAllen; brothers, Enrique (Elda) Villarreal of Kingsville and Cesar Villarreal of McAllen; sister, Yolanda (Benito) Villarreal of Los Fresnos, Texas; 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

A Rosary will be prayed at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 8, 2022 at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Encino with Visitation beginning at 8:00 a.m. Funeral Service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Services will conclude with Burial at the Villarreal Family Cemetery off FM 755.
