Petra C. Herrera

Petra C. Herrera, 75, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at her residence in Kingsville, Texas. She was born on August 22, 1937 to Jose Maria Calderon and Teodora Rodriguez in Falfurrias, Texas. She was a wonderful and loving mother and grandmother. Petra worked many years as a self-employed housekeeper.

She reunited in Heaven with her parents, Jose and Teodora Calderon; husband, Guadalupe Herrera; brother, Santos Calderon, Sr. and two nephews, Santos Calderon, Jr. and Johnny Calderon.

Petra leaves behind to cherish her memories her daughter, Petra G. (Allan) Smith of Kingsville, Texas; two sons, Juan C. (Maria Ella) Garcia, Jr. of Kingsville, Texas and Israel C. (San Juanita) Garcia of Skidmore, Texas; two sisters, Alicia (Horacio) Moreno of Falfurrias, Texas and Celia Aguilar of Houston, Texas; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren with one on the way, seven nieces; three nephews and her loved dog CiCi.

Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias, Texas with a visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias.

Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
