Luis Lopez Jr.

Luis Lopez, Jr. entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 8, 2015 at the Christus Spohn Hospital in Alice, Texas at the age of 78. He was born on January 25, 1937 to Luis P. Lopez, Sr. and Carolina S. Lopez in Falfurrias, Texas. Luis worked as a self-employed mechanic for many years.

As Luis entered into the gates of Heaven, he was reunited with his parents and his three brothers, Guadalupe M. Lopez, Sylvestre Lopez and Severo “Blanco” Lopez.

He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Alicia Gonzalez Lopez of Falfurrias; three children, Jose Alfredo (Melissa) Lopez of Falfurrias, Daniel (Alma) Lopez of Pharr, Texas and Gloria Lopez of Falfurrias; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one brother, Jose A. (Paula) Lopez of McAllen, Texas and two sisters, Manuela Perez of Minnesota and Maria (Mike) Garcia of Falfurrias, Texas.

A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Falfurrias with visitation beginning at 4:00 p.m.Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
