Jose “Joey” Jorge Ortiz entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 48. He was born on September 19, 1975 to Juan Jesus Ortiz and Angelita Regalado in Falfurrias, Texas. Joey was a Redskins and Dallas Cowboys fan and he loved his family very much. He had a huge heart and many friends. He had a special connection with his mother and brothers that they will truly miss.
Joey was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by his father and his maternal and paternal grandparents.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his sons, Jomichael Ortiz of Alice, Texas, Jose “Joey” Ortiz of Premont, Texas, Angel Ortiz and Isaiah Ortiz both of Kingsville, Texas; daughters, Elizabeth (Johnathan Herrera) Ortiz of Kingsville, Brianna (Josh) Garcia of Alice and Avriana Ortiz of Falfurrias; mother, Angelita Regalado of Falfurrias; brothers, Johnny Ortiz and Jeremy Ortiz both of Falfurrias; seven grandchildren with one on the way; two nieces; one nephew; mother of his children, Michelle Ortiz of Premont and many aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with Visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias and services will conclude with Burial at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.
