Jaime Javier Garcia was called home by the Lord on Friday, November 15, 2024 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas, at the age of 50. He was born on September 26, 1974 to Reyes Garcia, Sr. and Amanda Arevalo Salinas in Falfurrias, Texas. Jaime worked for many years in the oilfield as a floor hand and later began doing mechanic work. He also dedicated many years of his life volunteering as a coach for little league baseball and youth football. He loved coaching, especially his children. Jaime was also an avid sports lover and enjoyed watching different sports, mostly the Dallas Cowboys football games.
Jaime was also keen of hunting, fishing and playing golf. As someone who was the life of the party, he enjoyed being around people and loved his family and friends. He always made time to hang out at different local social bars and dancehalls so he could make memories with those he loved. Jaime always had a smile on his face and was continuously willing to lend a helping hand to whomever needed it whether it was through fundraisers, events, or just giving the shirt off his back.
Jaime was welcomed into the gates of Heaven by his father, Reyes Garcia, Sr.; stepfather, Octaviano “Tano” V. Salinas, Sr.; brother, Octaviano Salinas, Jr. and maternal grandparents; Lazaro and Aurora Arevalo.
Jaime leaves behind to cherish his memories his mother, Amanda A. Salinas; sons, Marc Garcia, John Garcia and Matthew Garcia; daughter, Kristy Garcia all of Falfurrias; brothers, Reyes Garcia, Jr. and Rodrigo Salinas both of Falfurrias and Mario Salinas from Corpus Christi; sister, Tina (Andy) Lopez of Falfurrias; granddaughter, Scarlette Garcia of Falfurrias; nieces and nephews, Raylynn Garcia, Sandra Garcia, Delma De Leon, Kiauna Campbell, Seddrick “Chip” Campbell, Jr. and many more nieces, nephews and extended family members and friends.
Visitation will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 20, 2024 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with a Rosary to be prayed at 12:30 p.m. Funeral Mass will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Falfurrias. Services will conclude with Burial at the Salinas-Arevalo Cemetery on County Road 225 in Brooks County.
