Fernando G. Ramirez Jr. fell asleep believing in the Lord and His Peace and Joy on Monday, December 10, 2012 in San Antonio surrounded by his loving family. He was 84 years old, born in Hebbronville, Texas on October 22, 1928 to Fernando G. and Leonarda F. Ramirez. He was a man of great faith and courage, love for his family and friends, and admired by many. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Felipe Angel Ramirez, daughter-in-law, Alicia G. Ramirez, sister-in-law, Estella B. Ramirez and many much loved brothers and sisters-in-law. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Olga Y. Ramirez, his sons, David Fernando (Dora), Juan Carlos, Oscar Mario (Marisa), and daughter Sandra Olga, brother, Jose Heberto, sister Carmen Guadalupe (Guadalupe) Longoria, sisters-in-law, Antonia Ybanez, Santos Ybanez Martinez, Aida Ybanez Ramos Crisanta Ybanez and Teresa (Manny) Rios. His grandchildren, David Fernando Jr. (Ana), Dariel Emiliano, Deliza Marie, Juan Carlos Jr., Rene Claudio, Oscar Matthew, Andres Mario, Kristina Maris, his great Grandson, Elias Fernando and many much loved nephews and nieces. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict, and was the best meat market butcher at Piggly Wiggly, Circle C, and other grocery stores in Hebbronville. Special thanks to the staff at Davita Dialysis Northwest, and all of his Doctors for their guidance, love and support. He will be missed by many. But, now he is rejoicing in Heaven and his family will be forever grateful for the special gift and journey that God granted us in Fernando, our Husband and Father. Peace and Joy to Papi!
Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm, Friday, December 14, 2012 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Hebbronville with visiting starting at 4:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 15, 2012 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville. Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be David F. Ramirez Jr., Dariel E. Ramirez, Juan Carlos Ramirez Jr., Rene Claudio Ramirez, Oscar Mathew Ramirez and Andres Mario Ramirez
Honorary pallbearers will be Deliza Marie Ramirez, Kristian Maris Ramirez and Elias Fernando Ramirez
