Hermano Esteban L. Perez entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas at the age of 82. He was born on September 9, 1935 to Donaciano Perez, Sr. and Teodora Longoria Perez in Falfurrias, Texas. Hermano Esteban worked for many years at Strickland’s Egg Farm as an Assistant Manager and then moved on to working as a Custodian for several more years. Later in life he became a Christian Pastor and would spread the word of God and share words of encouragement any chance he could get. He loved playing music as well as being outdoors camping and by the water. He had a great sense of humor and was a very humble man with great kindness in his heart.
Hermano Esteban is preceded in death by his parents; his two sons, Homer Perez and Alberto Perez; granddaughter, Amy Perez; two brothers, Roberto Perez and Hector Perez and three sisters, Francisca Nino, Mary Sanchez and Olivia Abrego.
Left behind to cherish his memories and many life lessons are are his wife, Odelia Buenrostro Perez of Falfurrias, Texas; sons, Esteban (Nora) Perez, Jr., George (Estella) Perez, Gavino (Margaret) Perez and Daniel (Elizabeth) Perez all of Falfurrias; daughter, Berlinda (Aaron) Perez of Falfurrias; three brothers, Donaciano Perez, Jr. and Erasmo Perez both of Falfurrias and Rolando (Rosa) Perez of San Juan, Texas; two sisters, Teresa Perez Buenrostro of Falfurrias and Estella P. (Mencho)Salinas of Alice, Texas; 21 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Gavino Perez, Jr., David Sanchez, Donny Perez, Cecilio Nino, Jr., Hector Perez, Jr., Michael Salinas, Henry Buenrostro and Lamar Perez. Honorary Pallbearer will be Luzdivina Buenostro.
Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard Williams in Falfurrias with visitation to begin at 5:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Maranatha Assembly of God Church in Falfurrias. Burial will follow at the Falfurrias Burial Park.
