Edna Noemi Almaraz was greeted into her loving Heavenly Father’s open arms on Thursday morning, October 31, 2024 at Meridian Nursing Care in Hebbronville, Texas. She was born on February 22, 1948 to Edgar Hugo Sweatt Sr., and Genoveva Moreno Sweatt.
Noemi was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend.
Noemi was known for her famous delicious Pan de Polvo. She enjoyed crocheting blankets which were gifted to her nieces and nephews to be cherished by them.
She has been reunited in Heaven with her parents, husband, Arnoldo Almaraz, Sr.; siblings, Famelisa S. Solis, Norma S. Rodriguez, David Sweatt, Sr., and Edgar Sweatt, Jr.
She is survived by her sons, Arnoldo (Mari) Almaraz Jr., and Oscar Almaraz; grandchildren, John Garza Jr., Katelyn and Damien Almaraz; great granddaughter, Lynnzee A. Garza; siblings, Sylvia Campbell, Laura (Rodemiro) Farias, and Cesar Sweatt; Numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; brothers in law, Beto (Carmen) Almaraz, David (Alma) Almaraz and Juan Soliz Sr., sisters in law, Cynthia (Nato) Ramirez, Leticia and Ana G. Almaraz; her good friend/Comadre, Cristina Flores who will miss her dearly.
Noemi’s main focus in life was her family who will miss her, but remember her with many wonderful memories.
Her life will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 5, 2024 with visitation starting at 8:30 a.m. and rosary service at 9:30 a.m. at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams, Hebbronville. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the New Hebbronville Cemetery.
