Antonia Barrera, 87, passed away Thursday July 28, 2011 at a hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was born on May 10, 1924 to Eloy Barrera and Lucinda Alaniz Barrera in Hebbronville, Texas. Mrs. Barrera was a self-employed restaurant owner, before her retirement. She is preceded in death by her parents, and sister Lucinda B. Villarreal.
She is survived by her brother Eloy (Rachel) Barrera, Jr. of Hebbronville, Texas, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Monday August 1, 2011 at the Funeraria Del Angel Howard-Williams in Hebbronville.
Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday August 2, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Hebbronville.
Pallbearers will be Marco Barrera, Daniel Barrera, Joe Salinas, Norberto Alaniz, Justo Ruiz, and Israel Martinez.
