William C. Simons Jr

Bill was retired from Terminal Railroad, a member of Gothic Lodge #852, Transportations Communications International Union Lodge #9075, and Edgemont Bible Church. Bill was a veteran of the US Army. He loved gardening, fishing, and hunting.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William C. and Ovella (nee Woods) Simons, Sr; and a sister, Ruby Nell Tevebaugh.

He is survived by his wife, Charlene F. (nee Carson) Simons; four children, Stephen Simons of Austin, TX, Sandra (Terry) Dockins of Newark, DE, Sharon (Todd) Miller of Fairview Heights, IL, and William “Will” (Connie) Simons III of Belleville, IL; eight grandchildren, Summer (nee Dockins) Gonzalez, Lance Dockins, Melanie (Dockins) Christians, Lindsy Simons, Rachel Miller, Andy Miller, Wayne Simons, and Harrison Simons; four great grandchildren, Mariah Gonzalez, Kaleo Dockins, Kaden Dockins, and Nova Pfaff.

Friends may call on Tuesday, December 17, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. at Lake View Funeral Home. On Wednesday, December 18, 2013. There is a visitation at Edgemeont Bible Church, Fairview Heights from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Interment at Lake View Memorial Gardens.
