Robert Lee Smith

He is preceded in death by his parents, Burt and Lena (Pelligrini) Smith, and his sister, Sue Chance, of Tampa, Florida.

Robert is survived by his wife, Barbara (Wyrostek) Smith, whom he married on December 16th, 1983. He is further survived by one daughter, Judy (Andrew) Shelton of Cabot, Arkansas, one son, Barry (Lee) Smith of O’Fallon, Illinois, two step-daughters, Traci (Aaron) Perjak of Columbia, Illinois, and Laura Behrens of Laguna Beach, California, and grandchildren, Anna Shelton, Grace Shelton, Nathan (Danielle) Smith and Jeremy Smith, and step-grandchildren, Amanda Perjak, Brandon Perjak, Kaitlyn Behrens, Brett Behrens, and Ben Behrens.

Robert served his country valiantly in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. Robert was a Grand Knight 4th Degree with the Knights of Columbus in O’Fallon, Illinois. During his lifetime, he was a cost estimator for Emerson Electric. In his free time, Robert enjoyed traveling, trips to Las Vegas, visiting casinos, watching Cardinals baseball games, cooking, working in his yard, and dining out with friends.

Per Robert’s wishes, all services are private.
