Robert Henry Dehn

Robert proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict. He also retired from the Belleville Glass Company. He was formerly active with the Quail Club and with the IPA, Illinois Police Association. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially, hunting and fishing. He was an avid golfer and played washers and cards. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather, who will truly be missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith Dehn, nee Mueller, a grandson, Christopher Cardella; his parents, Herman and Pauline, nee Underfer, Dehn; a sister, Verna Sullivan; and dear friend, Marjorie Dehn.

Surviving are his children, Shirley Stephens, of Carlyle, Illinois, Paula (John) Tarvin, and Robert H. Dehn, Jr., both of Belleville, Illinois; his grandchildren, Clayton Cardella, Lisa (Nathan) Wood, Tina (Daniel) Juenger, and Mari Dehn; six great grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends.

The family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses and staff of Sycamore Village in Swansea, Illinois.

Funeral: Services will be held at 12 Noon, Monday, November 7, 2016 at the funeral home with Rev. Wilson Wickiser officiating. Interment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Illinois.
