Robert "Bob" Edward Jackson

Bob was born January 21, 1954 in Etobicoke, Ontario to Roy and Jean (McPherson) Jackson. He married Gwen Emmons on July 25, 1975 in Brampton, Ontario and together, they shared 46 years of marriage. She survives and resides in Collinsville, IL.

Also surviving are his children and grandchildren: son, Darren (Leslie) Jackson of Nashville, TN and their children, Rosalie, Eric and Elizabeth; daughter, Melissa (Daniel) Loftus of Belleville, IL and their son, Ryan; his sister, Lynda Noblett of Canada; and his aunt and uncle, Alex & Joan McCulloch.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Jill White; and brother-in-law, Brian Noblett.

Bob proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 22 years. Before his retirement in 2003, he earned his nursing degree and continued with his career as a Registered Nurse with DaVita Dialysis Clinic.

Bob was a member of the Shiloh Eagles 545. He loved his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs and spending his free time on the golf course. Above all else, Bob loved and cherished his family. His loss leaves a painful void, but the memories of him will be treasured forever.

A visitation for Bob will be held on Monday, April 5, 2021 from 3:00 P.M.- 7:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208.

Cremation rites will follow. Interment will be at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO, where military honors will be rendered.
