Jean Ann Price

Jean was born May 7, 1948 in East Prairie, MO to Frank and Florence (Erving) Yarber. They preceded her in death.

Jean is survived by her siblings, Charlie (Rhonda) Yarber of Granite City, IL and Frankie Edmonds of Collinsville, IL; nieces, Linda (Bob) Greene of Staunton, IL, Carmen (David) Cadell of Shipman, IL, Tammy (Dan) Dobrinich of Staunton, IL, Kimmy (Allen) Snow of Highland, IL; nephew, Charlie Yarber Jr. of Granite City, IL; her great-nieces and great-nephews; three of her dearest friends, Sandy Reed of Belleville, IL, John Cox of Fairview Heights, IL and Sonda Starr of Millstadt, IL; and her best friend and beloved companion, Lucy Lou.

Jean worked as a waitress at Bel-Air Bowl (Hazel and Betty’s) in Belleville and Arbor Room in Belleville for many years.

She was a dedicated member of Damascus Road Fellowship. She was active in Bible studies, their Summer Sack Lunch Program, and was a greeter on Sunday mornings. She loved her church family dearly and was always checking in on others, making sure they felt loved and connected. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 from 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. at Damascus Road Fellowship, 1485 Frank Scott Pkwy W, Belleville, IL 62223. A service will follow the visitation at 12:00 P.M. at the church. Pastor Vance Vyers will officiate.
