Hazel Bell Price

Hazel Bell Price, 79, of Wentzville, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023. She was born August 8, 1943 in East St. Louis, Illinois to Orville and Nora (Liggett) Slaughter. Hazel married the love of her life, Charles H. Price, May 29, 1959. She was a devoted homemaker, wife and mother. She also worked at several facilities providing housekeeping and care for many residences. In Hazel’s later years, she enjoyed watching games shows, Judge Judy, Battle Bots and the Home Shopping Network. Hazel will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors left to cherish her memory include her loving children, Charles “Eddie” Edward Price, David Wayne (Sandy) Price, Gail Ann Gallagher, April Sue (James) Toppings and Larry Alan Price; grandchildren, Amber, Mike, Eric Allie, Brittany, Cindy and three others; 19 great-grandchildren; siblings, Dexter (Shirley) Slaughter, Carolyn (Dennis) Lynch and Donna (Phil) Wilhold. Hazel is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles H. Price and brothers, Clarence, Cletus and John Slaughter.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023 at 1:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with visitation from 11:00am until time of service. Interment to follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Lung Association.
