Gary Lee Turner

Gary Lee Turner, 67, of Caseyville, Illinois passed away Monday, November 13, 2023 surrounded by his family. He was born July 2, 1956 to Wilburn and Lovetia Turner. Gary started his career at McDonald Douglas Aircraft, now Boeing, and retired from there after 40 plus years. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Kimberly Tripp; sons, Matthew Turner and John Turner; grandchildren, Heather Fitzgerald, Kayla Kite, Amber Fitzgerald, Jeffrey Fitzgerald, Nick Staggs, Haley Turner, Gracie Turner, Colt Turner and Evan Turner; great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Dean, Baileyanne, Elena, Estella, Harley, Max, Brantley and Brooklyn; sister, Linda (Jim) Whitaker; nephews, Tommy and Dwaine Whitaker; cousins, Wayne (Jamie) Taylor and Lisa Taylor; and ex-wife and mother of his children, Denise Turner. Gary was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Lora Chessor and Alice Turner.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at 1:00pm in Lake View Funeral Home, 5000 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, IL 62208 with visitation from 11:00am until time of service. Inurnment will follow in Lake View Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
