Christine Alice McClure

Christine A. McClure, 95, of Fairmont City, Ill., born April 1, 1926, in Cardwell, MO., passed away, Sunday January 23, 2022, in Maryville, Ill. Christine was a devoted and loving homemaker. She was a talented seamstress, enjoyed tending to her garden, and fishing alongside her husband, Riley. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Riley McClure on August 3, 2012; her parents, Guy and Ruby, nee Newborn, McClearn; her sisters, Mildred McWhorter and Maxine Carlton; and her brothers, Homer McClearn and G. H. McClearn.

Surviving to cherish her memory are her children, Robert (Donna) McClure of Topeka, Kan., and Mary (Angelo) Suarez of Fairmont City, Ill.; her grandchildren, Michele (Chris) Wenos, Gary (Rhonda) Suarez, Jamie McClure, Brenna (Bill) Argo and Jeff McClure; a step-grandson, Mark Kaiser; her great-grandchildren, Marissa, Amber, Justin, Andrew, Heather, Bryan, Matheau, Ryan, Alex, Coddy, Brody and Lotus; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorials are appreciated to the St. Louis VA Medical Center or to Heartland Hospice.

Visitation: A visitation for Christine will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 from 10:00 A.M.- 12:00 P.M. at Lake View Funeral Home, Fairview Heights, Ill.

Funeral: Services will be held at 12:00 P.M. the funeral home. Interment will be held in Lake View Memorial Gardens, Fairview Heights, Ill.
